Pinnacle Golf Properties is seeking an experienced and motivated Regional Controller to join our corporate accounting team. This leadership role oversees the accounting and financial reporting functions for multiple golf course properties within our growing management portfolio. Position Overview
Responsibilities will include overseeing accounting operations for multiple golf properties and handling financial reporting as required. The number of properties will increase with familiarity of our systems and processes. We anticipate a portfolio of 8-10 initially.
Oversight will encompass all aspects of financial management, including but not limited to:
- Profit & loss statements
- Balance sheets
- Bank reconciliations
- Cash management
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Tax reporting and compliance
- Accounts payable
- Accounts receivable
This role works closely with General Managers, operational leadership, and the corporate accounting team to ensure accurate reporting, financial accountability, and operational support across assigned properties. Property accountants will assist with the day to day tasks of the operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee accounting operations for assigned golf course properties
- Review monthly financial statements and supporting reconciliations
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Support General Managers and operational teams with financial reporting and decision-making
- Maintain accounting controls, procedures, and reporting consistency
- Review accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management functions
- Assist with audits, tax reporting, and other financial projects
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency
- Mentor and support accounting staff and administrative personnel
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Multi-unit accounting or regional oversight experience preferred
- Hospitality, golf, club, or service industry experience preferred
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Quick Books, and general accounting software systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
Location
Charlotte, North Carolina preferred, though remote consideration may be available for highly qualified candidates with relevant experience.
